Zurich-based startup CLEMAP has completed a seed round of financing to further advance its B2B IoT energy platform and market entry. Investors are convinced by the new national and international partnerships, as well as by the promising solutions in the smart grid sector with an innovative electric car charging management product for real estate and energy monitoring solutions in the smart factory sector. At the same time, the board of directors has been reorganized to strengthen the company's strategic position: Kurt Bobst, former CEO of Repower, is taking over as chairman of the board, and entrepreneur Malco Parola is joining the board.
In 2020, CLEMAP decided to focus on the following three markets: smart grids, smart factories, and smart buildings. Thanks to important collaborations in the Swiss market, the smart grid division has established a solid foundation. In particular, dynamic load management for charging stations, which offers a high degree of compatibility and applicability, promises great potential. In the Smart Factory sector, CLEMAP solutions have enabled the company to enter the Italian market. Industrial customers who want or need to reduce their energy consumption are supported by our innovative solutions in optimizing their consumption. In the Smart Building segment, CLEMAP has been active for several years with its load allocation product CLEMAP One. This product will also be continuously developed and expanded with sales partners in order to further contribute to the desired internationalization.
Thanks to convincing market activities and favorable prospects, the capital increase round was successfully completed with various institutional and private investors. The financing round was led by SICTIC investor Malco Parola, who now joins the CLEMAP Board of Directors. Kurt Bobst, former CEO of Repower, will also take over the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors from Pascal Kienast, who will remain a member of the Board. The CLEMAP management team, with Gino Agbomemewa as CEO and Pascal Kienast as COO, remains unchanged. This guarantees continuity and enables the planned ambitious expansion steps to be pushed forward throughout Switzerland and internationally.
About CLEMAP Founded in 2017, CLEMAP pursues the vision of a world in which people, devices, buildings, and factories understand their energy flows and work together toward sustainable energy use. CLEMAP offers a scalable end-to-end energy platform that can be used in a highly modular way in the smart grid, smart building, and smart factory markets.
