Zurich-based startup CLEMAP closes a seed round to further advance its B2B IoT energy platform and market entry. The investors are convinced by the new national and international collaborations. They are also convinced by the promising solutions in the smart grid area with an innovative electric car charging management product for real estate and by the energy monitoring solutions in the smart factory area. At the same time, the Board of Directors was reorganised to strategically strengthen the company: Kurt Bobst, former CEO of Repower, takes over as Chairman of the Board of Directors and entrepreneur Malco Parola joins.
In 2020, CLEMAP decided to focus on the following three markets: Smart Grid, Smart Factory and Smart Building. Thanks to important cooperations on the Swiss market, the Smart Grid area received a solid foundation. In particular, the dynamic load management of charging stations, which has a high level of compatibility and applicability, promises great potential. In the Smart Factory segment, the Italian market entry was completed with the CLEMAP solutions. Industrial customers who want or need to reduce their energy consumption are supported by our innovative solutions to optimise their consumption. In the Smart Building sector, CLEMAP has been active for several years with the load breakdown product CLEMAP One. This product is also to be continuously developed and expanded with sales partners in order to make a further contribution to the targeted internationalisation.
Thanks to the convincing market activities and favourable outlook, the capital increase round was closed with various institutional and private investors. The financing round was led by SICTIC investor Malco Parola, who joins CLEMAP's Board of Directors. Kurt Bobst, ex-CEO at Repower, also takes over from the former Chairman of the Board of Directors Pascal Kienast, who remains part of the Board of Directors. The CLEMAP management team, with Gino Agbomemewa as CEO and Pascal Kienast as COO, remains unchanged. This guarantees continuity and makes it possible to push ahead with the planned, ambitious expansion steps throughout Switzerland and internationally.
About CLEMAP CLEMAP, founded in 2017, pursues the vision of a world where people, devices, buildings and factories understand their energy flows and work together towards sustainable energy use. CLEMAP offers a scalable end-to-end energy platform that can be deployed in the Smart Grid, Smart Building and Smart Factory markets in a highly modular way.
