Load disaggregation in private households

Changing customer requirements and the megatrend of neo-ecology are forcing property managers to increase transparency and information transfer. What is required is detailed information regarding the composition of consumption and real-time information.

Detailed insights into the composition of consumption

Pie chart from CLEMAP App customer portal

Information on the total of costs and consumption does not provide an opportunity to initiate measures to reduce energy consumption. Only if it is known for which category of devices what part of the consumption in a smart building occurs, it is possible to act accordingly. To provide you with this information, CLEMAP developed its own algorithms that perform the Load disaggregation . This identifies for which part of the electricity consumption the respective device category is responsible and thus forms the basis for cost-cutting measures.

High-resolution NILM technology examines digital fingerprint of consumers

The intelligent algorithms use NILM technology (NILM = Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring) to scan the loads connected to the electrical grid and register fluctuations in the grid when devices are switched on and off. Each device has a unique digital fingerprint, which is recorded by the CLEMAP algorithms. This identifies which appliance is currently in use and which is switched off or on stand-by. These insights are then made available to your tenants via the CLEMAP app .
